Hi,
I have a clog of PLA in my Geeetech A30. I tried the atomic cleaning method (cooling to 90 degrees before pulling the filament out) and in doing so left a big chunk of PLA in the hole. In order to remove it, I removed the 5 screws on top of the print head to allow access to the hole through which the filament is fed. I removed the chunk of PLA.
Unfortunately I still can't extrude any material - it is still clogged I think, but further down the hole out of reach. I have used an acupuncture needle and inserted it directly up through the nozzle and it goes right through with no problem - very odd.
I think there is a clog somewhere in the middle of the print head that is out of reach unless I remove the nozzle itself.
How do I remove the nozzle on the A30? Is it even possible? I tried using a wrench to unscrew it but it would not budge - perhaps the nozzle isn't threaded on the A30 model?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
amitchx
Removing the Nozzle (A30)
Re: Removing the Nozzle (A30)
Hi amitchx,
I have changed the nozzle a couple of times. It's a threaded Nozzle.
Did you turn in the right direction?
And if you want to take the nozzle out, you need to heat up the print head.
Best regards Alex
