At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
I've suddenly started to encounter a rather weird issue.
After a few layers - somewhere around 8 I think - my printer will move the extruder to some point outside of the print bed. I've seen it go into two different locations, so it's not identical every time. As this happens, the Y axis motor will try to move the print bed further backwards than it is possible to go, making a very awful sound.
At this point the touch screen controllers will not respond any more. The only way to make it stop is to turn off the printer.
Here is a video of the problem is action:

I'm using Cura for slicing. I recently updated Cura but I believe I had a few ok prints before this started to happen.

What's binding? Even google couldn't help me explain that one.
I can't find any loose motor wires, but if that is the case, how does it work on the first layers?

Re: At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
I suggest you attach the gcode(The forum support *.zip file)
Then we can help to check it.
It should be a slice problem.

Re: At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
Ok. Tried again today. Made a new slice with the object rotated 90' so that the cylindrical part is built upwards. Takes longer but that's not the focus now. This time the printer did not try to pull/push the printbed further than it can go iin the Y-axis, but it did just stop printing at layer 300-something. (was it layer 381?..)
The print was good until that moment.
edit: NOte that I uninstalled the altest version of cura and did this using version 3.4.1

Re: At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
In these kind of printers, when overheating, they might behave erratic. One of the additional signs is odd behaviour of the LCD. LCD has a separate processor. This happens rarely. So, do check wiring, as it might obstruct air flow in the main box. Check if all the fans are working.
But first of all check the things others are saying. Most often the problems are caused by belts, cables and rollers (under the bed).
My A30 is running non-stop. Due to missing steps I've tuned up stepper drivers and the main box started overheating. This led to odd printer behaviour.
I have made a youtube video on how to solve it. It will be published in a few weeks. Check my channel.

I've checked it.It seems normal.
I have a question.I can't find the "end gcode" in your gocde.
Maybe you've deleted it.

You can test the attach gcode file.
Then feedback the result and we can help to check it.

Re: At layer 8 (or something clopse) the printert starts printing outside the printbed
Hey eceryone!
I have got my printer now since 1week and it was always working fine.
But now i got the same problem! It ran out of range in Z, X and Y! Most of the time it is during the 8-10layer. All motors/belts are OK.
I tried different parts and sliced it several times.. but no improvement..
(Usinh Cura to slice)

Have you tired to check your gcode file?
You can attach it(The forum support the *.zip file)
Then we can help to check it.
Test:
G1 X220 Y220 Z255 F1000
