Simplify3D and A30 issue
Simplify3D and A30 issue
Hi,
I've sucessfully printed the testfiels on the card. Autolevel works as well with the cap sensor.
I just bought Simplify3D and would like to use this tool for further projects.
The problems I have are related to the z axis offset.
I've used the fff profile from facebook and it seems that everything runs well except the z offset.
I tried to add the offset to the global z offset but it doesnt seems to work even when I enter values which may hit the bed.
Every other funktion like the manual control runs well.
I hope you can help me!

Re: Simplify3D and A30 issue
Somehow I've found the issue after "hundreds" auf calibration and changes in setting the Z offset Problem seems to be solved.
But I've seen that both sides of the X axis are on a different Z level. Is there any way to adjust both Z drives so that the are even to the
bed. The bed is actually parallel to the X axis but not parallel to desk.
I hope you can understand my english.

Re: Simplify3D and A30 issue
I have the same problem, but as far as bed y parallel to X gantry, no problem so far.
Re: Simplify3D and A30 issue
You can "disable" the Motors or easy switch off the printer.
Than you can rotate the Z-Axis by Hand easily. If you have a vernier caliper you can measure the level to the lower Frame.
I hope you can understand, what I mean?
I have no Facebook. But a lot of printing problems with the A30. Could you please send me the fff profile?
Many thanks in advanced.

I'd love to get a copy of the profile as well, did you get it?Miceltu wrote: ↑Sun Oct 21, 2018 5:21 pmYou can "disable" the Motors or easy switch off the printer.

I guess the other choice would be to "translate" a Cura profile that I found here on the forums but I'd rather use a working one.
@Geeetech: Please make stuff like this available on the forums as well, not everyone has Facebook. Thanks!

Most of the profiles are shared by customers, copyright is owned by them, maybe we can create a forum subsection for profile sharing.

Thanks apak and Gingko!
A subsection for profile sharing sounds great.

Re: Simplify3D and A30 issue
This profile has much too little retraction for PLA. On a Bowden printer, you'll want at least 5, but usually 6 to 7 mm of retract.
Also your extrusion multiplier of .90 is pretty drastic - I'm curious why you've turned down the extrusion flow so much. Were you having over-extrusion issues?
