New to 3D printing and need help!

Post by JonathanFernas » Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:30 pm

I'm glad there's such a big community on here.

I just started using my 3D printer today (Ender 3 Pro). I have tried to print the test print that comes with it (a dog) 5 times now and I can't get more than 1.5mm in height before the nozzle starts to drag the filament and the print is ruined.

Things I've tried:

Increasing distance between nozzle and bed (this produced even worse results)

Bringing nozzle and bed closer (this worked for longer, but eventually dragged it any way.

My nozzel temp is set to 185 and the bed is set to 45.

At this point, I'm so green it's challenging to troubleshoot and I'm sure others on here have had similar challenges. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem?

Thanks so much ahead of time for the help!

Hi, If you are using PLA, the recommended temperature is around 190-210 °,
You need to level the hot bed. If it is a Mylar version, the distance between the nozzle and the hot bed is the distance between two 70g A4 leveling papers;
If it is a glass plate version, the distance between the nozzle and the hot bed is the distance of a 70g A4 leveling paper
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
