Max Print Size

Post by eprom » Mon Jun 04, 2018 4:56 pm

Hello everyone.
I recently bought the E180 and I have to say that I am very happy. I am using it at home to learn this summer and be able to use it in my school with my students the next year.
But the only thing I do not like is the maximum print size.
I have read in some websites of reviews that the size that can reach is greater. The fact is that the size of the bed is much greater than the 130mm that indicates maximum.
Would there be a possibility to print a 143mm piece for example?

Thank you very much.

Logically, you can change the printing area with repetier host accroding the real size of printing platform.
If you try it one day, I'd like to know whether it works. :D

I can not get it to work.
I don't understand a bed with 210mm for 130 mm.....

There must be a solution!

Have you edited the print area?
Try to print an object in 10*140*10

Yes, but not works.

I modified x y or z offset, but don't work. I don't know if I need a combination of variables.
I think it should be a combination of variables, "print area" and "offset", but I have little time these days to do tests.

Let's see if someone gets it.

Thanks.

It loses about 40mm either end because of the way the Y belt is attached, with the printer off move the bed manually as far as it will travel then look at where the nozzle lines up to.
