After building my Prusa i3 Pro C from Geeetech I'm trying to diagnose an issue with printing. When setting the temperature for the heat bed and extruders, the power seems to cut out (fans disabled, and some of the LEDs get disabled). This is only fixed if I reconnect the USB cable (or if USB is not connected, cycle the power supply). In some cases the red light on the gt2560 stays lit for a short while, and it also seems to depend on which part is set - e.g. heat bed always causes a crash, extruder 0 nearly always, extruder 1 sometimes. Sometimes the power supply makes a faint whining or grinding noise.

1st video with USB connected to octopi, after setting preheat temperature via the LCD panel, voltage drops to 0.17v.

It should be a motherboard issue.
You can ask the sales to send you a new one.

By motherboard do you mean the GT2560 or within the power supply?

Update. The heating for Extruder 1 and Extruder 2 appears to be functioning, but fails completely when enabling the Heat Bed. Setting the heat bed target temperature back to 0 again seemed to restore life.

I also note that whilst Extruder 1 or 2 is enabled the axis movement becomes unresponsive or delayed, and when both extruders are enabled there is no movement from the axes at all. The fans drop to quiet mode when an extruder is enabled, and become silent when both extruders or the heatbed is enabled

If you are able to do so, measure the power supply voltage.
I expect that the voltage will not be correct.

It was definitely a power supply issue. I have a replacement power supply of a different max capacity now that is working correctly (though it doesn't fit on the frame)
