Power supply defective?, to low voltage

Dear Forum,
my geeetech aluminium prusa i3 pro a (with 3 in 1 control box) has a problem with the powersupply.
I already adjusted the voltage with the Potentiometer to exactly 12,0V , but after about 15 minutes of printing the print suddently stops and the lcd is blank with flickering backlight. I meassured the voltage once when this happened and it had dropped to 3,7V. When I power the controll box off, at the very last moment, when the charge of the capacitors is nearly depleted, I can see the board booting up.
Has someone else encountered this issuse?
I think it has something to do with temperature because the issuse apperaed at hot summer days (25°C in the room).
Does the power supply "DC300A has a thermal protection?
Greetings
