Dear Forum,
my geeetech aluminium prusa i3 pro a (with 3 in 1 control box) has a problem with the powersupply.
I already adjusted the voltage with the Potentiometer to exactly 12,0V , but after about 15 minutes of printing the print suddently stops and the lcd is blank with flickering backlight. I meassured the voltage once when this happened and it had dropped to 3,7V. When I power the controll box off, at the very last moment, when the charge of the capacitors is nearly depleted, I can see the board booting up.
Has someone else encountered this issuse?
I think it has something to do with temperature because the issuse apperaed at hot summer days (25°C in the room).
Does the power supply "DC300A has a thermal protection?
Greetings

Power supply defective?, to low voltage
Re: Power supply defective?, to low voltage
Please double check the voltage setting on the PSU. It should be either 220V or 110V. Make sure that is compatible with your local electric supply.
-Keep your mind and try to test it.

Re: Power supply defective?, to low voltage
I'm certain that the switch is in the 220V position and that is the voltage in my country (Germany) too.William wrote:Please double check the voltage setting on the PSU. It should be either 220V or 110V. Make sure that is compatible with your local electric supply.
As I said in my earlier post it worked several times, but on warm days the problem started to appear.
I have swapped the psu with another one from an HDD-rack. But the heatbed now takes ages to heat up, probably because the updated psu only has 200W and drops voltage to 10v if loaded...
Does the original powersupply has 300W?
Re: Power supply defective?, to low voltage
Hi,you can find the related parameter about the PSU in this link:https://www.geeetech.com/geeetech-prusa ... la6qrok1h7.
“Electrical:
Power supply:
Input: 115V or 230V
Output:DC12V/20A
Control board: GT2560
LCD: LCD12864
Connectivity: USB, SD card (support stand-alone printing)”
So the original powersupply is about 240W.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.William wrote:Hi,you can find the related parameter about the PSU in this link:https://www.geeetech.com/geeetech-prusa ... la6qrok1h7.

I think this solves my problem.
