Just a warning about 3d touch at ebay geeetech official

I dont know if I'm in the correct forum thread since I'm new to this forum,
but wanted to give a heads up about the 3d touch from geeetech-official on ebay
which from my experience I suppose its not actually official.
their ebay address is: http://www.ebay.ie/usr/geeetech-official?ul_noapp=true
I told them my problem that my 3d touch arrived DOA and they directed me here.
What had happened so far:
I was too busy to catch up to the 3dtouch and left it hanging till I had time to
install it on my 3d printer. When I finally was able to 3d print the mount after 3 fails,
the last try it was barely a thing but what could I do?
(the reason I bought it in the first place was to reduce my fails since the 3d prints
barelly stick to the heating bed, so I thought that maybe with 3d touch the 3d print
will finally print good).
I installed it to my 3d printer and connected it to my g2560 A plus board
with the instuctions I found on the hidden link on the comments section about 3d touch
(the updated version of pdf that covers the extra port on new g2560 board and the instuctions
on what to do in the firmware), I made a cable tested it for continuity with my multimeter
and for no shorts, tested the port before I connected it to be sure that it was actually outputing
5v, gnd and signal and hoped for the best.
Only to discover that no blinking lights no nothing... completely dead!
At first I thought that maybe the 3d touch needed some special command so searched for the
Testing commands to send with octoprint, I even used the older program of geeetech the default one
to send those commands but it continued to show no signs of life.
Then I connected it directly on my board in case, i dont know maybe my cable was too long or whatever.
In general tried lots of stuff, none worked.
At this point I tried to contact that ebay seller and they directed me here with no further instructions.
I know my bad for trusting that ebay store and I know that I waited a lot of days before I test it
and therefore cannot make a bad review at them for sending me a dead product but I hope
at least I warn others to not fall on the same path as me. So their 30$ would not go to drain
as mine.
Also since I have it, I thought if someone here knows its inside stuff and maybe help me test it,
so to know what to change on it so I can maybe fix it myself.
I have soldering iron, SMD soldering iron and I can borrow oscilloscope
from experienced friends if needed, to find out, if I can maybe be able to restore it to life.
Does anyone from here have any schematic to help me fix it.
Since I have no such thing I dont know what to actually look for.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do please tell me,
thanx in advance
Simon
