M301 homing issues

Okay first with the details.
Everything moves freely by hand.
Stepper boards all set to 1.2v
Fresh firmware and all is calibrated.
At first all axis would stop and vibrate in the virtual z axis. But now auto home moves the x and y motors but not the z motor. It either locks or sits and vibrates. However I can raise and lower by moving the z axis in the menu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Getting outdone with this thing.

Okay, it now homes albeit extremely slowly. Reduced the homing speed down to 40 and it now homes.

Nope I am breaking the machine down so I can either ship it back or store it till I put it on display. Depending upon what happens next. I am done with horrible tech support. But thanks anyway.

A little more information about the M301 I received.
1st it came with a bad power supply. The board has horrible soldering which I could redo but as it right now. Because of this the current readings on the board are all over the place. All the feeders do is chew up filament and the lcd freezes often. When attempting to print from the card reader it stops at random. I did several dry runs trying to sort out the issues. And you must be connected for it to complete one object. But seeing as it won't feed filament I guess it does not matter.

Well I have been battling it out with Geeetech. They have now returned to the negotiations but are slow walking this to death. Even going so far as to claim it takes a week to issue a refund a portion of the purchase price via PayPal.
And if we agree I will never receive any support as part of the terms.
The war continues.

We may have resolution but of course waiting to see if they keep their word. I don't trust these people as they have lied to me in the past. For instance I had heard of feeders not working on this printer. I enquired before purchasing about this issue and was told it was an easy fix. But yet after receiving the printer no easy fix was forthcoming.
Anyway, for those still fighting I recommend applying a great deal of pressure and you may find some resolution for yourself. Good luck with the dishonest people your dealing with.
