I2
I2
Would anyone be able to tell me please how to get started on the Prusa I2? I bought it on eBay and the guy said he'd help but I think he forgot how to use this one now. I have used Arduino Uno and Nano before but whatever board this is I don't know how to use. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: I2
this one is similiar to the I3 series, you can refer to the user manual for the I3X here to set up it:

And note that you need to use the corresponding firmware and also you can calibrate it according to this tutorial:

Re: I2
I appreciate all this. I will try the calibration but I am still not sure what to do first. I know that I need to connect the Arduino card, and I have used the IDE with Arduino Uno and Nano (maybe it was Mini) but this card does not do anything when I plug it in, and I can't get the IDE to support it. Am I using the wrong program?

Re: I2
don't quite familiar with your mother board, seems like a printboard? check out this link:

Re: I2
Thank you, Mark, and you are correct that it is the Printrboard. This page then shows the Arduino IDE with some board choices that I don't have.
I'm not sure how to update the IDE in this manner. I downloaded Sprinter, but I just see some .h and .cpp files; I'm not sure how to use these to update my IDE.

Re: I2
check out this reprap wiki link for the firmware loading part:
http://reprap.org/wiki/Printrboard
And note that "All preassembled Printrboards come pre-loaded with a bootloader and firmware. ", so you if your LCD is displaying the correct info, then maybe you don't need to reinstall the firmware.
