printer not working after changing circuit board

Post by nutts » Sat Jun 03, 2017 9:43 pm

I have just changed my circuit board ( because I screwed up the 3 pin connection for BL touch )
I bought the same board as I had GT2560 rev A.
But after I installed it ( with firmware Arduino 101) My printer will not work and the LCD screen light up with info on it but I can not do any adjustments with it.
By the way I have a Geeetech i3 Pro B.
I have checked all my connections at least 100 times, but nothing has changed. All the motors are dead nothing moves.
What the hell is going on ? I am only a newbie at this but I think I have followed all the instruction
Can you please help me ?

Hi,could you take a video about your actual case as much more detail as possible? It will be more clearer and easier to find the key point.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Sorry I am not able send Video, But I will try to explain what happened.
I removed the original GT2560 board to modify the 3 pin set up for the BL Touch bed leveller, but thanks to my bad soldering I wrecked the circuit board beyond repair.
So I bought another GT2560 circuit board to replace the one I messed up.
I hooked up the new GT2560 to the printer wire for wire. The I used Arduino 101 to load the firmware.
When I tried use the printer (Geeetech I3 pro B) Nothing was working, none of the motors where moving and the LCD screen is showing info on it but I can not make any adjustment to the printer with it and the Repetier Host Program does nothing to the printer. Nothing at all moves. I know that I am not a technician but what could I have done wrong ?
Since then I have spent at least 2 days looking at trouble shooting sights trying to work it out and trying different things but this thing is dead. I have made no progress at all.
So if you could please give me some help or Ideas I would be very grateful.
The printer was working great before I messed with it. It was just a pain setting the bed level all the time. :(

Hi,I suggest you to upgrade the firmware with EasyPrint 3D.
Here is the download link:
http://www.geeetech.net/firmware/EasyPrint.msi.
And here is the instructional video you can refer to
:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3ua4vM ... pqufTgHOgE.
Please let me know the latest situation after upgrading.

I have been looking at some of the others and their reports on Easyprint and it does not look good for Geeetech.
There are a lot of problems that a Newbie like me would have problems with.
So I might be in the same place with this new system as I am with old system

OK I did finally managed to download Easyprint.
But when I tried to install it I got this message ( The Cabinet file 'Disk1.cab ' required for this installation is corrupt and can not be used)
So what is next ?
