So ive just became the proud owner of an mecreator 2. but my printer has not been working that well. and i need some help.

The X-axis is skipping steps and making a terrible noise while printing. usually when i restart the printer it stops. and i can move it with the knob by selecting move axis. the extruder moves smoothly on the rods. and the belt is tight. ive checked the bearings. and ive measured the a4988 is getting 5 volts and ive tried to adjust the stepper motor voltage from 0,8 to 1,2 and everything in between, and nothing works. ive also checked the powersupply if its turned on 110v or 240v wich in my country we use 240v.

ive got a nother stepper motor on the way. just in case. but i really doubt its the stepper motor.

and i can do some small prints, like a cylinder with the diameter of 14mm and the height of 150mm with no problem. but can not do anything else.

Could you take a video showing the details?

I see/hear no problem in the video.
Fast/short movements of a big head and stopping again will make noise. I printed vibration damping feet.
I guess it is printing fine ?

Retigthen all scrw

no its not fast/short movements. it does this no matter what. its not a part of the print. the x-axis is skipping steps like crazy

After watching this video and checking all the steps you have done,I think the problem source may be the firmware. So I suggest to reflash the firmware with EasyPrint 3D.
Here is the download link:http://www.geeetech.net/firmware/EasyPrint.msi.
And here is the instructional video you can refer to:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3ua4vM ... pqufTgHOgE.

So now i have flashed the printer with easy print, and then i tried to start a print from both repetierhost and easy pint. And it still does skip steps while printing. So im getting a new stepper motor, ALL new A4988 for all the axis. And im trying to get geeetech to send me a new stepper motor cable, since they dont have the one for my printer on sale. Im just changing all the parts i can now, in hope of solving the provlem.

On my Me Creator 2, the X axis pulley was loose when I got it. There are two set screws on the pulley on the stepper motor, try tightening them.

Also, does the printer "Home" properly? i.e. does the print head go to the back right corner, and the print bed come all the way up, and the three lights on the limit switch boards illuminate? If not, check the limit switches.
