Change Filament / Resetting

Sorry for n00b question....

I tried (for the first time) adding a pause so that I could swap filament half way through my print. The printer paused as I instructed (via Cura). But the Change Filament option wouldn't appear. Normally you choose Preheat PLA before, so I clicked that, but it gets itself stuck and then says heatign failed, reset printer - meaning I have a half finished print!

2 questions:

1) How do I effectively do this so that change filament option appears?
2) If a print fails for any reason, how do you restart the printer and get it to resume without scrapping the first bit?

Hi,You can check whether your printer can choose to pause printing in the printer, and then replace the consumables. If the printing fails, you can restart the printer and move the nozzle to print again.
