Many problems with 3DTouch

Hi everybody, I am new in the forum. I am French, I bought a I3 Pro B, I want to add a 3DTouch on it.

First af all, I received a 3DTouch with a bad connector, since the orange wire was on the pin which is supposed to receive the 5V+. I changed it to comply with the marks on my board, which is GND-SIG-V+ and not GND-V+-SIG. So the doc is false, but now, the 3DTouch speak to me when I send it a Gcode sentence.

I remove my connector on the board as explained in the doc and put the three pins in place of it, and no, no, no, it is not so simple when you don't weld every day, even with a good iron. You should alert your customers that it is not easy to do. But it is done. It would be a good idea to provide an adaptator to connect on the board without modify it, since I suppose that I lost the warranty doing this?

Now, my 3DTouch is beginning its test, but the pin is not pushed. It sticks on the screw, even if I release it a lot. I tried without it, it doesn't pull the pin, but at least, the pin is not blocked in high position.

I read the posts on the forum. I tried the technics explained to find a solution, but nothing works.

I pull the pin during the auto test, the 3DTouch make only 2 tests and stop in error.

Can you explain me what to do, because this little part is still not working, and I have lost a lot of time.

I spent (well... lost) all my sunday on this little s...t and IMHO, it is just a mechanical or electrical problem. The 3DTouch is reacting to the G-code orders, but the pin doesn't go out. If I don't put the screw, the pin goes up and down, but if I put the screw, even very loose, it sticks on it and never goes down. Trust me I have tried ALL.

I looked very close to the pin, there is a shrink sleeve containing the magnet, and perhaps it is the cause of it doesn't slide very well.

I even checked the power at the end of my wires, and I have 5 volts, that it seems to be good.

So, I am now convinced that my 3DTouch doesn't work, and that it is not a problem coming from wiring or firmware. The guys who were able to make it works, well, perhaps they have a good one, and seeing the number of people who have a lot of difficulties to find the way to make it work, I think that there is a real problem of quality in the production.

I am going to ask an other one to Geeetech to replace this one. I will tell you the following.

Désolé pour ma réponse tardive, j'avais laissé tombé et j'avoue ne plus être revenu sur le site de Geeetech.

Donc, j'ai fait je pense tout comme sur la vidéo, mais ça ne marche pas, l'aiguille remonte bien dans la "seringue", mais n'est jamais libérée: elle ne descend donc jamais, et donc ça ne marche pas.

J'ai laissé tombé, j'ai perdu plusieurs weekend à essayer de faire marcher ce truc sans succès. Geeetech m'a envoyé un autre 3DTouch, mais sans l'aiguille! Au cas où je voudrais me manquer dans un trafic de 3DTouch???

Merci quand même d'avoir pris le temps de me répondre, pour l'instant je fais auto leveling, j'ai amélioré ma I3 en plein de points et j'ai aujourd'hui ds résultats corrects, ça ira comme ça.

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with Auto Leveling Sensor. I tried different versions of firmware and have the same problem. I have Geeetech Prusa I3 pro B printer with GT2560 REV A+.The sensor does not tend to pull the pin back..
