Prusa I3 pro B : Need some advices for quality printing
Posted: Mon Jan 30, 2017 6:31 pm
Hello,
First of all, sorry for my poor English (I’m French)
I’m very newbie in 3D printing (I received my Geeetech prusa I3 pro B black Acrylic 3 weeks ago)
After several issues with Z axis, resolved with the help of several topics in this forum, I tried my first printings
First were awful due to bad Z level calibration (I ordered a auto bed levelling https://www.geeetech.com/geeetech-3dtou ... -1010.html but still not received)
Now, after manual Z calibration, I can print normal 8 sides dices with “standard” quality (except lower few mm ).
So, I tried 12 sides dice and Eiffel Tower, and results were bad (pictures enclosed)
- For the dice, the bottom faces (approx.. 20 mm) are completely disturbed, even if the higher sides seems corrects
- For the Eiffel tower, the small part on the top is disturbed.
A friend of mine suggest to lower the bed temperature to 55°C, but with no good result
Another suggest to add filament cooling fan(s).
Please, any advice would be helpful
Many thanks
Bertrand
My parameters :
- Geeetech prusa I3 pro B black Acrylic
- repetier-host v1.6.0 + Slicr3r
- PLA filament 1.75mm
- Extruder 210°C, bed 55°C
- Extrusion multiplier :1
- Layer height : 0.2 mm
- Disable cooling fan for the first : 3 layers
- First layer height : 0.3 mm
- Solid layers : 3
