Two Color Printing Alignment

Post by Ruffturn » Tue Jan 26, 2016 6:36 am

I managed to make it through most of my adhesion issues and I thank Mark and everyone else for your suggestions and assistance.

Since single color color printing seems to work at an acceptable ratio of yay/fails, I figured I'd venture into two color printing. Per the user manual for the Pro C dual extruder, I downloaded and sliced the two color cube. I'd call the resulting print kind of successful. The issue is the squares don't quite line up. They're close, but one quadrant is barely attached. As viewed from the top, there is a gap between the lower left/upper right purple and the green in the lower right.

I have been successful in solving about half my issues myself. This one though, I figure I might make things worse or introduce other issues ("what was it doing before you decided to mess with it?").

I've also included the printer's extruder settings. Let me know if any more screens or information might be needed.

As always, I appreciate everyone's opinions & help. :)

Here's the top & bottom of the print:

the value -16 and +16 should be slightly adjusted according to the results, 16 and -16 are the theoreticlly values, need to fine tune them.

Would that go to something like -17/+15? Do they always need to be 32 mm apart or might that value need to be changed to something else (to something like -18/16)?

Thanks.

no, just chagne it according to the actual result, the real distance between the two hotends.
