Actual maximum print size?

While I was going over the printer this evening tightening the nuts and screw I started messing with the effector.
I discovered that the actual print volume will be closer to 125 x 200mm and not the 190 x 200mm as advertised in the spec!

If I try to move the effector past the 60mm radius the rods twist up the effector and the carriages.
Had I tried doing this with the printer on I am sure it would have resulted in a lot of snapped parts.

So where does the figure 190 x 200mm come from?

(Pulled from wiki)
Print Plate Size: 210 x 3mm
Print Volume: 190 x 200mm

Hi,

I had a similar problem, I'm not sure it's the same one though.

My print-surface was also smaller than advertised, the issue was the washers used to keep the rods in place. They impede full movements.

Video to show the problem:

As you can see in the video, the washers they send you are to big and doesn't allow full movement so the rotation is limited and so creates a smaller print size.
By removing the washers you will have full size BUT because no washers the rods will giggle which is bad for print accuracy. I solved that by using those small rubber O-rings that you buy on hardware store for sealing bathrooms stuff-ish.

Hope it was the same issue :)

hi,johnp, sorry for my presentation mistake ,i mean i will modify the parameter in wiki .
the real specification is :Print Volume: cylindrical,D:190mm,H:200mm.

please look at the pictures.in my repetier host,i can move x to -90.
and in the firmware DELTA_PRINTABLE_RADIUS is defined as 90 ,it was to protect the delta G2 from over-distance when moving,so if you want to get the prints of which radiu is 95,you can modifiy it in the firmware.
if you have any question, please contact me.
