Heat Bed and LCD Issues

My LCD panel just seems to show odd symbols and black boxes, not what it should be showing. Does anyone know the solution for this? Also, my heatbed just goes to as hot as it can and just stays there, even if I am not telling it to heat up at all, so I have no control of the temperature on my heat bed. Also, it seems like my X-end stop does not work, it just always thinks that it is engaged.

Yes, all the LCD wires are connected. The endstops are screwed into the acrylic, and and wired into the board matching the pictures, the other endstops work, only the x axis does not

When you turn off the printer and turn it on again, is LCD displaying 4 lines of black block?
Please tell me what the mainboard type is. I am not 100% if the endstop is connected correctly.

When I unplug the printer and plug it back in there is nothing displayed on the LCD until it begins to take commands from the computer. Then it shows arrows, circles and black boxes. The main board is a mega 2560. Here is a picture of the endstop connections to the board(
) the X-stop is the black wires, as well as the LCD display(
