Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
Hello!
I have just assembeled my I3 Geeetech 3d printer. When plugging into socket and turning power on, the LCD just blinks together with the circuit board. It seems that it turns on and off.
Any suggestions where to start finding error?

Re: Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
Does the LCD working all right? I mean it shows the correct information or just shows the backlight? blinks together with the circuit, maybe check the PSU, how about just connect the printer via USB not the PSU?

Hello Mark!
The LCD has only the backlight, but it seems to be turning on and off. Also the fans seems to go on and off. Nothing else is working.

Re: Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
maybe you have wrongly connected the SD card cable and the LCD cable, check this link:

and the fans on and off? it's werid, how about the output of the PSU? is it 12V?

Re: Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
Ok, I found the error.
Seems to be something with one of the endstops.
If I disconnect it then it seems to work, so I probably need to get a new endstop then.

Re: Printer/ LCD blinking when turn on
I found the error. It comes from one of the endstop connections. There must be some fault on the middle port for the endstops. If this is plugged in the printer turns on and off. Holding the endstop connected to that port down, or removing it from the port turns the printer on.

how's the back of the endstop connector? Is there a solder bridge or somewhere shorted out?
