X & Y positions inaccurate, Z position is accurate ???

Post by divtec » Tue Nov 17, 2015 3:41 pm

X and Y positions are consistently NOT accurate. However, the Z Axis is accurate.
My workaround was to set the X, Y, Z steps/mm from 80 to 68.8 steps/mm then scale the Z axis to compensate.
This work-around is barely usable and must be done for each file loaded.

Any suggestions?

Factory settings for X, Y, Z are 80 steps/mm. Example... If I issue a 50mm move on X axis the actual is 57mm. Note that the z axis moves correctly 50 mm if issued the same command.

I see, but let's say if it should be 68.8, so what I don't understand is why did you scale the Z zxis? I think it doesn't make sense since 68.8 is the correct steps then you needn't to scale Z anymore.

Because this is DELTA printer and all towers (X,Y,Z) must be set to the same Steps/mm.
So... as a work-around if I make X & Y accurate I then must compensate the Z movement by scaling.

By the way... I uploaded new Firmware and no longer have the problem. All axes movement are accurate now.

Oh... almost forgot... another problem.

When trying to user Extruder 2... all axes (x, y, z) will move toward home (and ignore limit switches) when a extrude command is given.

There is a thread about this problem... I posted... but, no reply. You claimed months ago that you thought you have it fixed back in July... but, problem still exists after uploading the latest Firmware.

PLEASE FIX THIS! I bought a G2s because I wanted to print two colors. Arrgh!

Thanks in advance for you rapid solution.
