Parts and Firmware issues.
Parts and Firmware issues.
Okay so I eventually figured out the PSU sent with my kit my dead.
While I wait for the vendor to get back to me about replacing this I built my own out of a Pc PSU.
I am only using this so that I can calibrate my machine ready for when I get a replacement.
Now the firmware situation with this printer is ridiculous!
The diagonal rods are 200mm center to center and not the 183mm the firmware is expecting.
Motors are configured to travel in the wrong direction.
The auto level switch is triggered when it should be open..
+ A few more issues I have forgotten for now.
I now have Psu that was dead on arrival.
Small minor parts (washers and bolts) missing from the kit.
As well as a snapped spider which was driven in to the bed by poor provided firmware.
To be fair the spider was already cracked when it arrived but I glued it together thinking it would do until I printed a new one!
I have wired everything as per the instructions, now please provide me with adequate firmware to run this printer.
Bare in mind that I have 200mm diagonal rods that I have and that the printer thinks zero is about 7mm below the bed.
I cannot lower the bed as it is already at it's lowest point and I have the end stops screws set at their shortest usable height.
I really think you should have attached a warning note to these in the kit stating that the firmware needed to be adjusted to these, this would have saved a few snapped spiders I am sure.
Please publish this post and provide me with a solution, as I do not want to have to take my issues to other forums or YouTube.

Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
hi,what's your printer type?delta rostock g2 or g2s.i will sent the related files to your mailbox.
regarding to the diagpnal rod ,we have modified some parameter in the firmware.so,please tell me your printer type.i will send it to you by email. stl file of platform(spider) included as well.
and we have also make a more clear instruction of leveling.as you known,this is an diy kit,please be patient when assembling.
i really appreciate your support and patience and support.

Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
I am having a similar problem and the spider has also broken as a result. Could I please get the same files and the .stl file for the spider so I can replace it?

hi,this is the resourses sharing link for stl files of delta:http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 10&t=16772jebrown wrote:I am having a similar problem and the spider has also broken as a result. Could I please get the same files and the .stl file for the spider so I can replace it?

Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
Thanks for the file link, but how do I prevent them from breaking again? The rods are 200mm long, not the 186 as defined in the firmware configuration. Will fixing this value prevent the spider from snapping again?
Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
You can change 186 to 196 to have a try. This is the latest numbers defined in the firmware configuration:
#define DELTA
// Make delta curves from many straight lines (linear interpolation).
// This is a trade-off between visible corners (not enough segments)
// and processor overload (too many expensive sqrt calls).
#define DELTA_SEGMENTS_PER_SECOND 160
// Center-to-center distance of the holes in the diagonal push rods.
#define DELTA_DIAGONAL_ROD 196.0 // mm
// Horizontal offset from middle of printer to smooth rod center.
#define DELTA_SMOOTH_ROD_OFFSET 160.0 // mm

Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
would it be possible that I may have the stl file as well?
I have a Delta Rostock 2GS PRO purchased this month.
I am having a great difficulty getting the auto level function to work. I believe this is because all the associated DELTA_DIAGONAL_ROD/offset are not correct for this all metal model.

Re: Parts and Firmware issues.
you can download it here: http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 10&t=16772
but I think they are useless in your G2S pro. Maybe you have used the wrong firmware, you can download the latest one here:
