I followed the build manual directions. There are no such markings on my switches. The markings that are there are "NC", "NO" and "C" on one side. No, you can see "GND" and "SIG" on mainboard. Just plug the wires to that 2 pins. You don't have to distinguish "NC" or "NO".Splynter wrote:I followed the build manual directions. My apologies, I thought you were referring to the limit switch itself. Here is the latest update......
- Limit switches are wired as noted...."SIG" and "GND". And have been from the start.
- LCD still only displays solid blocks no matter how the cables are attached. The same with adjustments to the screw next to the SD slot. Solid blocks or nothing at all. Letters, numbers etc. cannot be seen from any angle.
- Axis ( in manual mode ) are fully moveable and will travel to their respective limits in only one direction ( Z = up, Y = rear, X = left ) BUT having redone the whole firmware / software upload yet again, I can now reverse their direction BUT only as far as their original idle position. They will NOT travel beyond that point.
The issue with the axis movement and the LCD being non-functional has gone on long enough now where I think it would be reasonable to request replacements for both. Something, somewhere is wrong and as you have stated yourself elsewhere on this forum, mistakes have occurred on your end in regards to those boards and how they were loaded etc. I'm beginning to suspect I may have one of those boards. Or one containing other faults. Be it the board itself, or perhaps the driver boards. Or both. You've helped guide my way towards proper installation and uploading etc. ( and confirmed same ) yet my printer is still for all intentions, an expensive / large paper-weight and that needs to adressed.
