My display starts fine, but after an hour or so turns to garbled rubbish. How do I fix this, or is the LCD rubbish?

Hi,
You can have a try to press the "reset" button beside the LCD,if it doesn't work,re-upload the corresonding firmware.
Tell me how it goes after you have done all the above.

The reset button cleared the display back to normal (also killed the print I was doing, so not a 'fix'). I'll try reflashing the firmware in a few days, I need to back up all my calibration settings first.

Sorry,it's my fault.I should have told you to stop your printing first before the reset...BTW,did the reset work to the display error?

Yes, the reset cleared the display error.

I have this same issue and reset does correct the display, but only for a short time. The LCD2004 is connected to a gt2560. I just bought the I3 pro B and this issue started around 20 minutes after the printer was plugged in and sitting idle. Is there any fix for this?

You can also just push the knob in to reset the display. It would be nice if there was a fix to keep it from happening in the first place, though.

This was hooked to the PC via USB cable (using Reptier host). The printer was not printing anything. It was just sitting idle. This is a new build of the DYI kit and I have not even had a chance to try printing, I was just getting ready to calibrate the printer when this happened.

Did you try re-flashing the firmware for the board?
Generally speaking, the display will not influence the printing job...
Did other stuff on the printer work properly?like the motors, the heating.
