Extruder Carraige Lower Than Extruder Nozzles

Post by GeoGod » Mon Dec 28, 2015 12:45 am

I have a Prusa i3 Pro C with dual extruders. Is it normal for the extruder nozzles to be higher than the metal mounting bracket? They are at least 3mm higher than the bottom of the bracket. How much of a PITA is it to lower them so I can get them closer to the bed?

no standard for that, just make sure the nozzle is lower than the bracket or you want be able to print.

Mark, did you have to adjust your nozzles? Maybe mine was set up for a different mounting bracket. How much work is it to lower them?

it will take you sometime to make them parallel, unscrew the upper nuts to lower the hotend, but do not touch the nut on the block, it might leaking.

Thank you Mark. I have the same issue and I'm happy to hear that it has already been discussed. It doesn't look like fun, but at least I know what I need to do. Thanks again. :)
