i3 pro not printing correctly

Post by jetpilot » Sun Feb 07, 2016 3:21 am

I just completed building my DIY Prusa I3 Pro X. I have leveled the bed and I am at .5mm clearance. I am using the sample provide in the kit which I believe to be PLA and heated the print head to 200C and the bed to 60C. The filament comes out, does not stick to the platform at all, but instead clumps up with most of it sticking to the head. Some of it ends up on the platform. I am new, but tried following the instructions to a T but still can not get it to print correctly.

the distance it too high, the manual says to fine tune it in step 3 to the thickness of a normal paper, did you do that?

The instructions said between .5 and 1mm. But i will try lower. It's also printing honeycomb pattern with spacicing. I need to figure out how to print a solid object.

yeah try to lower it down. And a solid object will take you a lot of time to print, I think just set the fill density to 100% will work.
