Need firmware for Acrylic Prusa Mendel I3 with Mega 2560/ramps1.4

Hello,
I bought an Acrylic Prusa Mendel I3 with Mega 2560/ramps1.4, with MK8 extruder. I purchased it as a DIY kit in January 2015. I recently modified the printer to allow a higher Maximum Z height of 200 mm. It seems the firmware is still limiting the height to 185mm. I think I need to change the Z_MAX_POS in the configuration.h file and then recompile and reload the firmware.
I have checked around this forum for a copy of the original firmware, but I can't seem to find the correct one for this printer. I see some have said this printer is a "Pro B' version, but it does not say 'Pro B' on the user manual or invoice description. And the Pro B firmware I have downloaded has a Z_MAX_POS = 180, not 185 as mine has.
Can I use this firmware? I am hesitant to over write the current firmware and 'Brick' my printer. Is there any danger of doing this?
Is there any way to look up the current firmware name and version that is currently on the Arduino? To make sure I am starting with the correct version?
Please let me know,
Paul
