Converting a Geeetech A20M to a dual extruder A20 2 in 2 out

Post by chongboy_ » Sat Sep 07, 2019 5:33 am

I am having a lot of trouble converting my Geeetech A20M froma 2 in 1 out extruder to a 2 in 2 out extrduer. I have added two images of how I have my extruders set up. I found the thermister and heat cartridge pins online and was able to slightly modify a version of marlin from https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... 20&t=17046 . - "4.Geeetech A20 with LCD12864"

I was able to get two heat cartridges and thermisters to heat up two separate heat blocks/hot-ends. I was ready to begin a print but I noticed that

1. The heat blocks were heating up WAY too fast and were over-shooting there target temperature by about 25 degrees Celsius and then would balance out there temperature.

&

2. All axis work just fine. They home perfectly... But when I begin a print off of my SD card, the print start by homing, hits the Z limit switch, goes up about 5 mm and then starts crashing down into the limit switch very fast and wont stop. - So the axis does not need to be inverted.

I Know that nothing is wrong with the motherboard because I am able to upload the stock A20M firmware and it works fine.

I am guessing it is most likely the firmware I am using. I have also attached a zip file of my marlin firmware.
PLEASEEEEE HELPPPPP!!!!

have you run PID for both hot end?
the single hot end heats up FASTER than the A@)M bigger block does.
also, since you have separated thermistor it is needed to have their own PID done..

hope by now you have figure this out already....

just putting here what I know so other might find it useful.... hopefully ;)
