Hello all guys!

I have a i3 ProB i bought 1 year ago.
Until now i have been printing stuff with good results, but now im trying to understand more about software and ways to improve my printer and prints.

So im assuming that the newst version of Marlin for geeetech i3ProB should be better then the one i uploaded when i bought the printer.

What kind of changes they made?
Does it worth ti to upgrade?
Are the prints better?
Are the motors more silent?

If its a "must upgrade" you know what is the latest version (i serched on this forum and 1.1.8 is for proB with BLtouch)?
Can someone explain a bit about this?

I am using Marlin 1.1.8 for PROB, not bad.

but do you need to change anything in it? like coment the bltouch part or something like that?

If you don't use a 3DTouch, comment out the following in configuration.h:
#define BLTOUCH
#define AUTO_BED_LEVELING_BILINEAR
#define Z_SAFE_HOMING

Please Note:
I haven't tested 1.1.8 on my Pro B but I do use 1.1.4 for 3DTouch without issue (I don't have my 3DTouch fitted) making the above changes ONLY.

Any custom changes you have made to your existing configuration.h file must be copied over to the new one before flashing.
There should be no issue with using 1.1.8 and making the changes above but as with any flash, make a backup!

Update to my above post.

I have now updated to 1.1.8 without issue on my Pro B without a 3DTouch/BLTouch fitted.

Would you be able to share your firmware for 1.1.8 with 3dtouch?

Could you share where you got 1.1.8 for Pro B from?
