Is this a firmware problem?

Post by dblajan » Mon Jul 10, 2017 4:24 am

Hi,

I just assembled my Aluminium Prusa I3 A and I have the following problem: when I command the Z-axis to move 1 mm (either via LCD panel or via Repetier-Host), it moves 6 mm instead of 1 mm. The Z coordinate reported on the LCD screen is correct, it says Z-axis = +1.00 mm. But the actual movement was 6 mm. Thus, when I try to print anything, the printing starts way above the hot bed resulting a mess.
The X and Y axis behave normally.
Is this a firmware issue? Should I attempt a firmware update?

Thanks,
Dorin
