Problem with homing

Post by PrinterHacker » Fri Feb 17, 2017 5:07 am

I have recently purchase Geeetech i3 pro B 3d printer (2017 version). I have problem with homing the printer head. When I press LCD printer Prepare->Auto home, the printer head goes to its homing position (X=0, Y=0 Z=0) and goes up (Z axis) a few millimetre. If I press the Auto home again it goes to its homing position and goes up few millimetre again and resets homing position with (X=0, Y=0 Z=0) which is few millimetre above the bed . It keeps on going up and up for subsequent auto home key being pressed. I understand for homing it should go to X=0, Y=0 Z=0 and set the z = +1 so that when it starts printing it should start from z=0 position. Because the printer is resetting its Z axis every time for an Auto home the extruder will never touch the printer bed.

I have installed the latest firmware (Marlin_p13_pro_b) as per Geetech instructions.

Is that any tweaks in the firmware for homing for the printer correctly to correct this behaviour.

But that is the position(the stopping position in your words) where you start to level the heatbed?
