USB driver no longer works on Mac OSX Sierra

With the recent release of MacOSX Sierra (10.12) the USB drivers are now broken. The FTDI Chip site does not have an update and when are Geeetech going to resolve this issue with having ANCIENT firmware that requires us to download really old versions of Java which have security issues which affect all of us.
Summary:
- USB driver on MacOSX Sierra 10.12 is now broken
- It is about time that Geeetech did something about the ancient version of the Marlin firmware released on the Delta Pro and i3 range of printers
- The old firmware will only compile on Arduino IDE that requires a higher risk versions of Java
I can no longer access my Geeetech printers from my Mac at all.

Apple have released signed drivers that provide partial support for the FTDI chip, so the communications are back for Apple MacOSX 10.12 Sierra. But we still have the issues with regard to the old firmware and the need to to use very old software versions to compile the changes to the firmware.

After the update the drivers were not working at all, but when you plugged in the printer into the Mac, the GT2560 controller would power up with the power from the USB port.
1. FTDI driver version 3.2 was reinstalled and and the printer was plugged in and no power to the GT2560.
2. Reboot and then plug in the printer and no power to the GT2560.
3. Power on the printer and plug it in and then turn off the printer power to the GT2560 remains on and accessible.
So, version 3.2 of the driver under MacOSX 10.12 Sierra does not power up the GT2560 controller without an external power source being applied to the controller. Who know if this will change in the future.
Now, to the other very important issue of the old firmware, what ever happened to the project last year / earlier this year to migrate the firmware to a later version of the Marlin firmware which would allow us to use more current versions of the Arduino IDE and Java runtime.

Is there any information as to when? This firmware conversion project has been going for some time now and the software incompatibility issues are rapidly approaching "serious".
