X-axis problem Prusa I3

I just completed building the Pro B Prusa I3. The X-axis was moving in the wrong direction, so I changed that in the firmware (#define INVERT_X_DIR true). Now the extruder carriage moves left to the X-axis end stop when the Home command is given (using Repetier Host). However, once the X-axis is homed the directional keys in Repetier change color and become inactive (cannot move the extruder carriage to the right). The X value also reads 200 instead of 0 and the nozzle is about 20 mm off the heatbed (too far left). I am not sure which firmware setting needs to be changed, if any, or if a setting in Repetier Host is wrong.

Seems like you have set the home position to MAX not MIN:

Thanks. I discovered that after posting my question. X home still positions the extruder tip about 20 mm off the bed. This doesn't seem to make any difference when starting a print. Should I be using some sort of offset?

I think this is fine, as long as the object is in the center of the print bed, then don't need to change the offsets.

Hi,
The X axis has some "jettirng" effect when coming back to HOME position! it goes to right smoothly, but when it go back to the left it jeters and that effect the printing and through the extruder carriage off the printing path!

I connected the other motors to see if there is something wrong with X motor, but i found out that all the motors do the same thing! so, all the motors are good. the problem appear to be from the board!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?!?!?

Thanks for any help in advance!

1. check your assmbly, if the rods are paralleled
2. check the stepper driver board, if the Y axis moves normally, you can exchange the driver board of Y axis to X aixs, if the problem solved, it must be the problem of driver board.

I did that!
the output from the BOARD is not good!

So, How would you solve this problem?
since your company sell and ship out defected parts!

As the picture indicates .. these are the voltage readings on my board!

The voltage is Zero!!

what kind of wiring are you using ? If you are using that Dupont connector type of connector on the end that could be the problem as there not very secure and if one contact is bad it could cause intermittent contact problems .
