Hi Geeetechers
I have Delta Rostock something or other and for some reason I have a Z axis offset of 2mm which has been dogging my efforts at a first print. I don't know how it got there or how to change it. I presume it is in the firmware some where. Please help
Thanks
Aaron

Thanks for reply
After homing the printer I jog it down to the bed, in the repetier host, the coordinants read x0x y0 z2.
If I look on the lcd screen under movement z offset reads -2mm
I have overcome the problem by changing the height of the print area to 2mm less, but I would like to make the offset zero some how
Cheers

You just need to make sure when Z=0mm in the repetier host, all the 3 coordinates and the center point are just touching the bed. No need to care about what the LCD shows.

Hi
Nope. I am unable to get z to be zero when it is on the bed of the printer. Somewhere there is a piece of code that says it is 2mm above the plate when it is actually touching it. When I run Code 1 it goes nicely right to the plate, but z reads 2mm on the top bar. When I try to print it tries to extrude 2mm below the plate. It sort of works when I push the plate down, but this is not a solution.
Please help.

so this still means when Z=2mm, the nozzle is touching the bed, which is not the result we won't. We need to make sure when Z=0mm on the top bar, the nozzle is touching the bed and that's why we need to adjust the screw on the carriage to increase the actual height of each axis, not to lower down the plate, though it will be a effective solution too.

Ooops, sorry, operator Error. Don't realise the codes took the head down to z2.
Very sorry and thanks for you patient replies.
Thanks again
