Substitute gt2560 with mega 2560 ramps 1.4

Hello i have a prusa i3 b with gt2560 broken I would like to know if I can buy a standard mega 2560 + ramps 1.4 flash prusa b 2560 firmware and swap cables : it work witout software/hardware modification? I don't like that much this gt2560 too many problems.

i'm afraid that you need to buy cables for ramps1.4+maga 2560 because some of GT2560 cable do not fit to ramps 1.4.you also need a lcd adapter.
As for firmware,just burn the firmware for ramps 1.4

Hi Eric,
thank you, by watching picture it seems only power cable and fan cable is different. isn't it? Are Termistors compatibile?

Thank I am not really expert to arduino hardware I was thinked that is it possible to find some ICSP pin around the board, but probabily is not the case

the thermistors are compatible.just some of cable maybe be not have a good contact with slots on ramps 1.4.
