Configuration.h Vs eeprom

Hi Guys,
I have the Aluminium Prusa I3 with Sanguinololu controller. I've been reading a lot of forums/tutorials/etc about calibrating the extruder and stepper motors. Most of them talk about modifying the settings in configuration.h, re-compiling it in Arduino and uploading again. However, I notice most of these settings seem to be the same settings stored in eeprom. So my question is: Does it make any difference if I just leave the firmware untouched and just edit the settings in eeprom, or is it necessary the edit/re-compile configuration.h ?

Thanks Mark for providing your I3 settings http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 446#p27446

-Cheers

There are some settings you can only change in the firmware like mottor direction and board type and so on. you can download the latest firmware here:

I want to know about the Aluminium Prusa I3 with Sanguinololu controller.
What are the specifications and the applications of these both?
Also what are the full specifications of hardware and firmware for your project?
Can you please post some details here?
