Hi everyone !
Well, not sure if the firmware section is the right place for my issue, but I'm counting on you guys to point me in the right directions :
- I had previous issues with both a dead bed thermistor, and a ramps 1.4 where T1 and T2 never worked. So I've never been able to use the heatbed even once since I received the geeetech prusa i3 pro B (I have contacted the customer service about that, and hopefully I think they will be able to help me with that).
Well, anyway it happens, so I borrowed another ramps 1.4 from a friend (again, and he's getting a little edgy ... oups !).
And now I have this issue :
Everything seems wired correctly, and I can FINALLY have a working heatedbed ! But now, for some reason, I can't get the extruder to move in X axis or the bed in Y axis, the only direction working is the Z axis (which for some reason works better than before --'). Extruder in X axis is making very weird noises, vibrating, moving randomly a little in each directions, and the same is happening for the bed in his Y axis.
So what do you think I should into ?
PS : I'm still using the firmware sent by GT, so I'm wondering if switching the ramps 1.4 is related to my issue ? Do I have to so something special when replacing a ramps 1.4 ?

Mind the direction of A4988, check if the endstops are connected correctly.
The worst situation is A4988 is dead because of static electricity. I met this problem before.

Thank you for your help, zhangxueyou. I check the endstops and stepper drivers, unmount and mount boards again and then I remember I used to secure the boards with only 3 screws before (at the moment the boards were secured with 4). I secure the boards with 3 screws again and ... It works ! I might have a "faux contact" in French, maybe one of the screw is shorting something. Anyway, the ramps I borrowed is now working and I can finally use the heatbed ! It also means I have to hit the customer service again, this time to get a new ramps, I hope they're not going to hate me for this !

You can not conclude ramps1.4 is broken by that. The motors have some reaction means the board and motors are ok, maybe the wiring is not correct.
There is no picture, so I can not confirm if your connection and wiring are correct, so please take some pictures of mainboard and different angles of printer.

Re: XY axis vibrating, strange noises with new RAMPS 1.4
Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. My bad. The XY axis vibrating and strange noises thing is solved, but remember that it is NOT MY ramps 1.4. This problem happened for my friend's board which I'm testing right now.
My problem (with MY ramps 1.4) is here : http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4&start=10
It's related to the T1 and T2 pins in the ramps 1.4, which never worked (I can't get any temp° reading there). It works in my friend's board, but not in mine. Sorry for the confusion.
