I have received and assembled you Prusa Mendel I2 kit and am very happy so far.
However I am having some trouble with the Z axis, through pronterface, down signals send the z axis up and up sends it down. I have checked all the wiring and I think that the sanguinololu 1.3a board must be flashed with a version of firmware configured for a Prusa Mendel I3, which has the z axis stepper motors at the bottom. My questions is (I'm new to this), where can I download a version of firmware for an I2 and how do I upload it to the sanguinololu 1.3a?

Your problem is that the set of direction of Z-axis is wrong .you can change the firmware settings or change the connection order of motor. Here is the link of Marlin http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/images/3/3 ... _v1.zip.Of course,you need to make some modifications to the firmware before you load it onto your motherboard( http://www.reprap.org/ http://www.makerlab.me/t/1).Finally, upload the firmware through the arduino ide to the sanguinololu (the arduino ide downloade website: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/images/3/3 ... indows.zip
