Looking for Marlin 1.1.8 source files for A10 with GT2560 V4
Looking for Marlin 1.1.8 source files for A10 with GT2560 V4
Hi, where can I get official source files for Marlin 1.1.8 with configuration files for the new A10 with GT2560 V4?
Re: Looking for Marlin 1.1.8 source files for A10 with GT2560 V4
Interesting. My Board info says GT2560 V4. Are you saying that all that's changed in the whole firmware is literally just that one number?
And does that mean that I can just upload GT2560 V3 configurations to GT2560 V4 and it won't cause any trouble?
Sorry for noob questions but better to ask than cry

If you are talking about having to hold the reset button to be able to flash then strangely enough I don't have to do that. I guess they fixed it, I bought my A10 this month.
Anyway, thanks for the help

Re: Looking for Marlin 1.1.8 source files for A10 with GT2560 V4
Hello Guys
Do you have any response about this subject (marlin 1.1.8 sources for GT2560 V4) from Geeetech ingineers ?
May be we can begin by a marlin 1.1.8 V3 to compile into a V4 version (changing mother board name only ?) but I think it will be not sufficient.
May be some hardware parts have been changed ? At least the V4 has one more Extruder driver.
However the Marlin 1.1.8 .hex file exists on the web site (version Jan 2020) so sources to compile it necessarily exist somewhere ?
@GEEETECH: It should be very useful for us to have these sources to compile a more recent version as 1.1.9 or 2.x, thank you

Re: Looking for Marlin 1.1.8 source files for A10 with GT2560 V4
Hello, everybody!
Could administration of this forum or geeetech engineers say when there will be available source code for gt2560 v4?
I'm starting to think, that if there will be no source code for this board, then i will be forced for downgrade with v3 or board of other brand.
One of the advantages in a10 commercial was opensource fw.
For older versions of gt2560 it's true, but not for v4!
Thanks!
William, could you comment this, please?

William, thanks for reply!
As for me, software engineer, that's unbelievable to have a binary file, but not to have source code (especially opensource)
Than all users of v4 will wait for a while, and, as i suppose, not very long
