Printing issues M201

Hello,

i bought my Prusa M201 some few months ago. I enjoyed to assembe it. Everything worked fine with using Repetier Host duing manuall moves, like moving the axis, pulling filament into the extruder, heating the nozzle an bed. Then i tried to print, but never had sucess till now. I had to clean the nozzle and heating block several times. Im using a glass bed now and put some glue onto it. I managed to print a part of a circle, but then the filament is stuck in the nozzle again. I tried different temperatures, but always the same issue. I bought a infrared thermometer and found out the temperatures of the software and the printer itsself are different. Bed is like 30°C appart and the nozzle 10°C. But then i figuered out, that the left part of the aluminium block, where the filaments are mixed is 20° lower as the right part of the block. I think the filament mixing extruder is the problem.

I also send a message 2 months ago to the support, but still no answer. Thats why i try my luck in the forum now.
Is it possible to get a single extruder for my printer? Or does anyone know a other way to solve my printing problems?

Hi,
1.I don't think the infrared thermometer can test the exact temp...But why not increase the original temp by 20 degree since you've found a 20 degree to have a try?

2.You can check if the PTFE tube was plugged deep enough,look some guys' tips in this post:

3.Yes,you can replace the 2-in-1 hotend with a MK8 extruder,which is what i'm using now,and it works perfectly(no need to modify the firmware).

1. I adjusted the temp and everything was fine for few lines, but then it was stuck again.

2. The PTFE is the tube where the filament goes to the hotend? As described in the link you gave it should go the beginning of the aluminum block with the hotend?

3. Nice idea. But how do i mount it on my printer? I cant see any holes to screw it on my M201, http://www.geeetech.com/new-mk8-extruder-p-998.html

1.I got stcuk again...Did you plug the white tube into the bottom of the metal tube?
2.Yes,it's that white tube.It should be plugged into the bottom of the metal tube,i attached that two photos in order to show how deep it should be plugged.
