mk8 extruder driving me crazy

Post by amigone » Mon Aug 17, 2015 11:44 am

When the mk8 works it does an awesome job, but for the most part it just doesn't want to work like most here mine does the clicking thing but the last 3 days its been retracting the filament at high speed at the start of the job 4 times today :x yesterday was 3 and the day before was 3. it will move into position pause and retract the filament all the way out then start the job, but it cant print because there is no filament loaded. it doesn't happen every print. whats going on, how do i fix it? anyone know of a good replacement?

I think the screw in the extruder maybe loose, you can check it .

that doesn't explain why its retracting the filament at the start

It works well for some your jobs, I think the board may not be the problem. Could it be the problem of slir3 that makes something wrong with the gcode? you can try to re-generate the gcode if it happens again. Or try to reburn your firmware to see if it works.
