Extruder heats past set point

Post by jfcooper3 » Mon May 04, 2015 4:50 am

Howdy - I have finished building my Prusa I3 ( with the Sanguinololu board) and I am having an issue with the extruder heater. When I turn on the printer the nozzle starts heating up, even if I have it disabled in the Repetier software. It will heat to 200 degrees, then continue heating. It has gotten to 290 degrees before I have to turn off the printer.

Any help would be appreciated.

How about re-burn the firmware? Please check your email.

I had this happen last night. I had the heat bed and the extruder power wires switched.

Unfortunately my issue is not that simple. I had checked to make sure the wires were set correctly, and they were. I also observed that the heated bed would reach the correct temperature and stop heating.

I have flashed my board and now it seems to be completely dead. When I plug in my USB I see no information on the LCD screen, the board is not found by the Windows OS, and the USB cable actually heats up.

Can you send me a replacement board?
