I purchased a clear acrylic Prusa i3 and would like to convert it to a Bowden style to remove the weight/mass off of the y axis so that I can try to print more accurate/faster.

My question is can I convert my current extruder to accept the bowden style connector and filament tube (i.e., and mount it to the top of the frame) and add a separate hot end to y-axis with the bowden tube connector? If so do you have the parts for this conversion?

I understand that I can purchase another hotend - that was not my question - my question was: if I purchased a separated hotend (for example: Metal J-head with cooling fan,Cartridge heater& PTFE tube SKU:700-0632-01) then what would I need to do to modify my current extruder (the standard extruder that was supplied with my Geeetech Acrylic i3 ~ MK8) to convert it to be used as a remote Bowden style extruder?

It's hard to give you a standard answer. After all, 3D printer is a DIY product. You'd better make an adjustment yourself according to your need.
