Well I just had the extruder moter go full retard halfway through a 5 hour print
It started buzzing and not pushing fillament, almost sounded like the gear was slipping on the fillament but was not the case
Started to look into what was actually going on
Plugged Extruder motor into Y axis harness - extruder motor works fine
Plugged Y axis harness into extruder port on board - motor works fine
Plugged extruder harness into Y axis port on board - motor starts to buzz will not turn
So I start to look at the extruder harness, moving the plugs/wires while adjusting the extruder through Repetier host and it turns out to be a bad earth connection in the plug on the extruder motor end, I can put pressure on the earth wire and the motor works fine but no so if I let it go, I tried to de-pin the plug and repair it but had no luck
Now I need to order a new motor harness

Re: Extruder wiring harness problem
Looks like you need the entire motor cable for extruder motor?
