Geeetech M201 - Extruder doesn't work well

Post by macinblack » Tue Aug 23, 2016 12:36 am

Hi everyone, I bought one M201 on gearbest and this printer can't print mixed colors. I use green and orange colors, And I only can print with green (with difficult). The orange stuck on extruder, I tried clean my extruder, verified all mechanical things, used the Normal profile on Repetier, change temperature and velocity, nothing works... Seems that extruder is defective... I read a lot of bad feedback of this machine... What's happen?

Hi,
I guess you didn't plug the PTFE tube into the two metal tubes deep enough, which caused the easy clogging, have a double check on it.
Also, you may want to read this article:

No, I plug correctly and verifica... I changed the drivers for drv8825, now I can extrude with both filaments, not perfectly, but it's better. This machine needs much work to printer well...

Since that,i guess the extruder driver has no sufficient driver voltage.Have you tried adjusting the voltage on A4988?

Since I replaced the drivers, the motors have more torque and I can extrude something... My problem isn't the motors, it's software!
I choose a template and the printer only extrude the filament 0... don't change filament!

Can Geeetech made a video tutorial how to use this? It's a must for everyone...
