Replacing GT2560 A+
Replacing GT2560 A+
Hi,
I own an i3 Pro B printer. At a certain point I shut it off in the evening and very next day did not start at all.
I bought a new GT2560 rev A+ board (identical with the original one).
To upload the firmware I have used the Firmware Toolkit For Geeetech Printer to up-load I3proB_G02_V1.0.04_01.hex.
The display was looking ok. But trying to home the extruder nothing happens. In fact besides the correct information display the printer does nothing.
Then I was thinking to up-grade it to dual extruder so I have changed the PSU, I have added a driver and loaded the I3proC firmware. Nothing again.
I really do not know how to start debugging it. The only idea I have is to change all motor drivers. Do you have any suggestion what should I check and where can I start?
Thank you!

Re: Replacing GT2560 A+
I think you should check the PSU output voltage at first.
Then check the fuse of the motherboard.
Try to use the multimeter check it.

Hi,
I have checked the PSU and I get 12V.
The fuses look ok (measured for continuity).
Anything else I can check?
Thank you!

Re: Replacing GT2560 A+
Do you mean the extruder won't work?
You should heating it to 180C or more then control it move.
It won't move until the temp of it lower than 170C.

If the all the motor won't move then you should check the endstop wires at first.

Re: Replacing GT2560 A+
Hi,
I was re-taking yesterday all the measurements. It looks something is bad with either the PSU or with the board. After couple of power-on/power off one of the fuses get burned (the same one). I was trying to connect one by one each connector, powering on and check the fuse; I burned like 10 fuses but still not able to say what is causing this.
Any idea or suggestion?
Thank you!

I think you should check the A4988 at first.
Try to remove all of it off then check it again

Hi, You can check the tightness of your belt;
Check your driver board voltage (0.8-1.2V).
