Hi there
My control board has failed it is a GTx2560 board with my Geeetech Prus I3 x brought on 30 of may 2016
what has happened is the connection to the hotbed on the board has burnt out and has failed. i have attached photos. it suddenly happened during a print where the bed was set to 70c.
before you ask me too. i don't know how to program/change its firmware, etc. And honestly i feel if the board keeps being used there's a risk or further damage/fire risk.
regards
Jeremy

Hi,Jeremy
I guess you can buy another green connector(the same style) to solder on the board if you have the skill,or you can have it repaired in local store if you can't solder it by yourself.

Not possible cos no one does that stuff here, where i am. plus this is for support not for the community.
Plus there is more damage and possible fire risk.

I guess you can get the connector on Ebay or Amazon...
And the problem is not that serious, the connector was burnt because of the high current of heatbed(maybe heat up to a too high temperature in use).
I guess the board will work normally except the heating of heatbed now if you turn on the power.

as i stated before there is no one who can fix this problem here. And i for sure can not fix it as i am almost blind!!. And i feel its the responsibility of Geeetech to fix this issue as its a manufacture flaw. It can be a serious fire risk and Geeetech need to see this, as if a fire is caused by this printer because of this flaw they will be sued or worse shut down. I appreciate the advice. but please read my previous message stating what i have said and this was raised for the techs to look at and not for the community.
thanks
regards
Jeremy

Hi,Jeremy
You can contact the seller to talk about how to resolve it if you can't handle it by yourself.
