Hi, i'm a owner of Geeetech prusa i3 B. The printer goes fine three days at four day meanwhile i'm printing a model the LCD screen and fans turn off and now doesn't work.
I need the confirmation of the technical support for replace the motherboard

Maybe it's the PSU?Have you measured the DC output?

Your led and voltage all mean that on the PSU?
So you mean the PSU has a problem?Could you attach a picture of your test?

I had a real badly burned up power plug. I didn't want to wait for Geeetech to replace / repair so I soldered two (larger) negative wires to the board underneath. One of the pins had de-soldered and the plastic burned up so badly that it could not be unplugged. I had to carefully cut the damaged plastic away. The pins were so damaged that I could not solder to them so I soldered to the back of the board.

The original problem seems to be undersized connectors to the power. The heat was generated inside the white plastic plug which turned brown. One negative wire was installed into it's plug poorly with a few strands left loose. I use larger battery connections on my 3.7 volt 300 mah batteries in my toy helicopters. The two positive connectors were not damaged much so I plugged the wires back onto them.

Anyway it's fixed. It did a 7 hour print last night. I don't want another Geeetech board if it is the same. I want a better one if it is available. I hope I don't have to modify the power supply to work the second extruder that I plan to add.

I hope Geeetech fixes this in the future because it looks like I am not the only one to have this problem.

Hi, the problem is with the fuse, is dead. Can you send me a new fuse?

A little more to add to the burnt socket thread:

I found the positive (+) wires / connectors were damaged beyond use or soldering--too much burned stuff on the wires for any solder to stick.

I soldered a heavier wire to the back of the board for positive heater connection. I used hot glue to insulate and protect the solder joints and wires.

MY BED NEVER HAD A GOOD CONNECTION BEFORE THIS. When the bed finished heating the fan sped up And now I can't hear a difference in fan speed. Also the bed is holding at 108 degrees instead of dropping to 102 like it did yesterday.

A solid connection to the power supply is a wonderful thing!
