Dear friend,
Sincerely sorry for this inconvenience, but the most important thing I need to point out is all our products have been tested before shipped out. The problem probably have occurred in the course of transit, which is out of our control. But we are serious seller, we do not escape any problem from our customers', we will do whatever we can do for our customers. I hope I can solve your problem together with you.

According to your question, could you please tell me the source of the firmware? And I need to know your operating steps, if you can send me the photos of your connection diagram, so much the better.
Waiting your reply.
Best regards.

Firmware is latest repetier.

when usb is not plugged in, all the LEDs come on and stay on.

when usb is connected, the device shows up and firmware can be loaded, but after loading and connecting with Reperier Host it just says "commands waiting"

I have tried both USB ports.

And upload the firmware I attach, to make the stepper motor work normal.
Please remeber that you have no need connect Ramps-FD when you uploading the firmware.
After you finish tested, please tell me the results.
Waiting your reply. Best regards.

Firmware uploads.

If I remove USB and run on power, all the LED's stay on. If I leave plugged into the USB I see the LED's blink a little after a few seconds. But none of the steppers are moving.

With the jumpers like that, the USB comm does not work with the Power to ramps-fd on (it says "device unrecognized) but the step motors turn.

just to be safe I tried loading repetier firmware again. and got the same result.

how do we get usb communications working the same time the power is on?
