MAXTEMP triggered

MAXTEMP triggered - I get this error in the log and the machine is dead. A temperature of 499 deg c is noted!!!!

I am using a single print head and swapping this with a new one (thermistor and heating element) does not solve the problem.

Moreover swapping everything over to the Extruder Two channel has no effect as i dont know how to disable Extruder One in Repetier.

Any help is much appreciated.

Check if the output signal on your board is not working properly:

Problem turned out to be corrupted firmware that also blocked out LCD display. Dont know how.

Now back to normal.
